All natural, all taste great.

Jimbo,

You can fish for mullet in the river modego from the centre of Coimbra all along the estuary to Fif da Foz. My favorite bait is bread crust. Good luck with you fly fishing.

I thought that you readers may be interested in this.

No matter how keen an angler you are when you go to a new area or country for that matter its always a little daunting to choose a place to fish. Do you follow the lead of the lazy sunny afternoon fisherman and fish where you can keep your car within a few meters of your fishing position or do you look for a place where the fish will be.

I don’t know about you but I like to catch fish when I go fishing.

You can confuse yourself with the different types of fish that we have here in Central Portugal and loose site of the fact that they behave broadly the same as the fish we are used to fishing for in the UK and Ireland.

I found this site on the internet quite by accident. http://www.worldseafishing.com/shore/surf_beach_reading.html

This article with very clear photographs is brilliant in explaining what to look out for when you come to a new beach for the first time. It also talks about further research that you can do to maximize your fish catching chances. Invaluable !

I have been fishing for more than twenty years and learned a lot from this. I hope your readers do to.
