Here we have a great example of family fund raising Portuguese style. The local football club wanted funds for new equipment and so set about providing an attraction for town residence. Their answer? Rally car racing! Local amateur rally drivers brought their cars along to compete in a course set up on the football club’s old pitch. With the spectators safely(more or less) at arm’s distance away, the races began. Food and drink were put on and families from all around came to watch the rally.
Coimbra Property Shop has plenty of property on offer in the Miranda do Corvo area and around.
Amongst ourselves, my family often muses as to how often Portuguese councils put on events such as these compared to English councils. Considering the population differences and budget differences it really is terrible that we Brits are so far behind in community spirit!
